Loss of a loved one

i also lost my auntie this summer, and today was when all the will got finalised.
it brought back my loss.. i wonder what the future hold's deep down i know she is gone.

SAM - the reality is that most people in every religion trust their 'leaders' to some extent. Sadly within the Org, that trust is almost total amongst most of the Witnesses. However, I detect a growing feeling amongst some that their trust is no longer what it used to be. Discontent with all the changes is creating an apathetic attitude and some just appear to be on 'auto-pilot'!
The bottom line is that our faith should not be based on any men or organization based in the US of A. But that's what most of us have done. And now the WTBTS propanda machine is actually demanding this loyalty to them - otherwise we are going down at Armageddon!
So we are left with the free-will to decide which 'road' in life we will take - secular, or spiritual.
I believe what I have personally studied and meditated on, (not the literature!) and I trust it. It's the people who twist it to fit an agenda that I don't trust!
Brother Rutherford uttered one categorical truth - Religion is a snare and a racket!
Faith & worship cost nothing. The difficult thing will be, finding like-minded associates, or at least people who won't mock/criticise your opinions.

Witnessing after the Big A?
by Doug Mason ini had the understanding that after "armageddon", the jws would be witnessing to resurrected people who had not rejected them during their earthly lifetime, in addition to all those who had lived before the wts existed, plus every dead child and baby.
is that still taught by the wts?.
1. presumably all dead earthly-hope jws are resurrected first.. 2. then all jws would have to be taught what is the true truth.

Thanks to the WTBTS, I used to believe all the concocted interpretations about the resurrection and how the Great Crowd and those resurrected would take 1000 years to "come to life" - as per the warped reasoning of Revelation 20:5.
However, both Jesus and Paul stated that there would be TWO resurrections - one for the righteous, and another for the un-righteous. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15)
Revelation 20:5,6 explains quite clearly that the righteous will be resurrected in the first resurrection at the beginning of the 1000 years, and the unrighteous will be resurrected in the second resurrection, after the 1000 years have ended.
The apostle Paul's words at Philipians 3:11 confirm the different timings of these two events: " [to see] if I may by any means attain to the earlier resurrection from the dead." (also Hebrews 11:35)
The w96 10/15 p. 6 said this - " Resurrection involves a reactivating of the life pattern of the individual, which life pattern God has retained in his memory. According to God’s will for the individual, the person is restored ...having the same personality and memories as when he died."
Woohoo - a world full of murderers, paedophiles, rapists, psychopaths, etc. from down through the ages!
There are going to be a lot of Do Not Calls if that lot stand up during the 1000 years reign!

NVR2L8 - My information is exactly what I stated, that every cong is levied per publisher for the Circuit Account, to cover expenses for CA & SAD. If that information is incorrect, I'll welcome a correction; after all, the majority here want truth, not fiction.

DD - We had our C.A. recently, and afterwards I mentioned to one or two that I thought it was strange that the new wooden Contribution Boxes were unmarked - nothing to identify it as donations for the C.A. or Worldwide Work. Additionally, I asked why we are asked to pay for the C.A. via donations (while we're attending) when all the Congregations in the Circuit have already contributed per publisher to pay for the event in advance from their congregation funds.
Simply ask your beloved why the Witnessess have to pay TWICE for the one event.
Also, why are contributions made from the heart, by Witnesses, for their Circuit needs, and then elders vote in secret to send a chunk of it to WTBTS?
It's like contributing to a charity for the disaster in the Philipines, and they send a portion of your donation to the local Youth Club!
Some might call it mis-direction of funds; others might not be so polite!
P.S. The program was about the most boring non-event I've ever sat through. Just more mind-numbing repetition about loving the Org, obeying the Org, blah, blah......

Proper grammar and "This Generation"

(Numbers 32:13) "So Jehovah’s anger blazed against Israel and he made them wander about in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that was doing evil in the eyes of Jehovah came to their end."
You'd have to be brain-dead not to understand that this verse meant that overlapping generations had to die during the 40 years, before Israel could enter the Promised Land! How can anyone not see that? :)

When people express an opinion/s on a given subject, it is just that - an opinion!
The GB continues the WTBTS's long established practice of expressing its opinions regarding the Bible via the Writing Committees, and when these opinions reach their 'sell by date', they are replaced with new opinions - AKA 'new lights'.
The crucial difference between the GB'S opinions and most other religions', is that their opinions are imposed as LAW upon the adherents, and unacceptance is brutally dealt with by means of disfellowshipping & shunning!
So any and all opinions about life after Armageddon are no more than wishful thinking, unless they based on Biblical information.

A very nice JW tried to give me a pamphlet today at my door
by Faithful Witness ini'm so happy that they came while i was home, and i was prepared for the knock on my door.
i greeted a very nice jw lady on my doorstep.
she wanted to give me a pamphlet about whether the dead will live again.
